W.H Boyer Landscaping Services, located in Glenwood, MD is a 61-year-old award-winning Landscape Contractor. We are searching for an experienced Field Manager Superintendent. He/she will manage daily production of 3-5 crews ensuring maximum production levels are obtained and quality standards are achieved for each project. The Superintendent will manage all equipment material and labor necessary for each project, identifying and communicating any necessary additional work and or delays to the Production Manager(s). They will communicate with the Crew Foreman daily, as well as train and educate crew personnel on proper landscape and construction installation and safety practices.
Job Qualifications:
- 2 year minimum as Landscape Project Manager or 5 years minimum as Commercial Installation Landscape Foreman.
- Effective communication skills Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Effective Leadership, organizational and motivational skills.
- Ability to think through a problem and arrive at a effective solutions.
- Proficient knowledge of landscape layout drawings and project specifications.
- Knowledge of snow removal operations.
- Knowledge of trade equipment i.e., hydro-seeder, backhoe, mini-excavator, and loaders.
- In depth knowledge of plant material, planting procedures, hardscapes construction and other types of site work.
- Class A license CLT and CPH preferred but not mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
Job Description:
- Maximize daily installation production levels on 3-5 commercial projects.
- Long term vision in regard to project sequence and schedule.
- Coordinate materials and equipment deliveries to job site to insure maximum production from installation crews.
- Attend pre-construction meetings and project review meetings.
- Daily job site inspections to ensure accuracy of installation, safety and quality control.
- Ensure project deadlines and punch work are completed timely.
- Perform inspection walk-through's with Landscape Architects, Contractors, etc.

A Proven Process
Designed to Make Landscaping Hassle-Free
Over the years, we have developed a process that benefits the client and smoothly moves each project forward. The success of our process is due to excellent communication and complete transparency. You can sit back and relax as we work out your landscaping needs and find the exact solution you need.
Fill out our contact form and upload photos of your landscape, so we can get an initial idea of what you're looking for.
Within 48 business hours of receiving your form, we'll call you back to discuss your project and decide if we're a good fit. If so, we’ll set up a time to visit you on your property.
We'll listen to your vision and assess your project so that we can give you some ideas and recommendations. This consultation takes about 30 minutes and includes a discussion of our landscape design process.
We'll give you a design agreement to sign, collect the design fee deposit, and return to your property to take photos and measurements. Then, we'll get started on your custom design!
We'll come to your property to present your design about two weeks after your on-site consultation. You'll receive your own copy to review and make changes to, if desired. At this point, we can answer questions, consider any revisions you may want, and work with you to arrive at a plan that fits your property and budget.
We'll work on any revisions that need to be made, and once we've reached an agreement on a final design, we'll provide a clear and detailed proposal. If you’re ready to get started, we'll accept an initial 33% deposit, order your materials, and get you on the schedule!
We always order everything we need before we begin the project, so you're not stuck with a messy property for an extended period of time. We'll show up when we say we will and won't stop until the job is complete. Any necessary delays or changes will be clearly communicated to you. We'll accept another 33% of the total cost when work begins.
At the final walkthrough of your property, we'll accept the final 33% of the project cost, discuss warranties, and educate you on proper maintenance of your new landscape. We may also be able to offer you landscape maintenance options to help you keep it looking great for years to come.
