Protect Your Marriottsville, MD
Property With WH Boyer, a Trusted Choice Among Drainage Companies for Beautiful, Lasting Results
Better Drainage Makes Every Part of the Property More Enjoyable
Healthy lawns, thriving planting beds, and outdoor spaces ready to enjoy after rainfall contribute to a property that looks beautiful and functions well. WH Boyer Landscape Services combines practical water management with experienced craftsmanship, making us a trusted choice among drainage companies in Marriottsville, Maryland. Since 1960, we've helped Central Maryland homeowners manage runoff, reduce erosion, and preserve their outdoor spaces.
Heavy downpours can send substantial water across a property in minutes. Slopes, soil conditions, and existing landscape features influence its path. Our team considers these factors before recommending French drains, grading improvements, dry wells, and other solutions. Natural stone channels can also slow runoff while adding character to the surroundings.
The WH Boyer Experience means straightforward recommendations, detailed estimates, and personal attention throughout the project. Materials are secured before construction, and our dedicated crew remains focused through completion. Expect an organized installation backed by decades of local expertise. Schedule a 15-Minute Creative Planning Session to discuss the possibilities.
Drainage Solutions That Protect the Landscape and Add Lasting Value
Effective drainage starts with understanding how stormwater travels across the property. Among drainage companies, WH Boyer offers Marriottsville, MD, homeowners solutions that manage excess water while maintaining attractive, usable outdoor spaces.
- Dry Creek Beds and Dry Streams: Guide runoff through natural-looking stone channels
- Delaware Riverstone (River Jack): Slow water movement and help reduce erosion with rounded river stones
- French Drains: Collect subsurface water to relieve saturated soil
- Landscape Grading: Adjust slopes to direct runoff toward suitable drainage locations
- Dry Wells: Collect stormwater underground for gradual infiltration where conditions permit
- Surface Catch Basins: Capture excess water and redirect it through underground pipes
- River Stone Bioswales: Manage runoff with designed stone and vegetated channels
- Rain Gardens: Absorb rainfall while adding seasonal color
- Exterior Foundation Waterproofing: Address moisture concerns near vulnerable foundations
- Erosion Control: Help preserve lawns, planting beds, and hardscapes
Natural Stone Drainage That Looks Beautiful and Performs During Heavy Rain
Dry creek beds featuring Delaware Riverstone, commonly called River Jack, create the appearance of a natural stream while providing a planned route for surface runoff. These rounded stones complement surrounding lawns and plantings, making drainage an attractive part of the property.
During a heavy downpour or deluge, stormwater can travel quickly across slopes, carrying soil and mulch. A properly designed dry creek bed directs runoff through a designated channel, while appropriately sized stones help slow water movement and reduce erosion.
During dry weather, the streambed remains an appealing landscape feature. WH Boyer considers channel placement, stone sizing, expected runoff, and surrounding terrain to create drainage improvements that serve a practical purpose while enhancing the property's appearance.

Within 48 business hours of receiving your form, we'll call you back to discuss your project and decide if we're a good fit. If so, we’ll set up a time to visit you on your property.
We'll listen to your vision and assess your project so that we can give you some ideas and recommendations. This consultation takes about 30 minutes and includes a discussion of our landscape design process.
We'll give you a design agreement to sign, collect the design fee deposit, and return to your property to take photos and measurements. Then, we'll get started on your custom design!
We'll come to your property to present your design about two weeks after your on-site consultation. You'll receive your own copy to review and make changes to, if desired. At this point, we can answer questions, consider any revisions you may want, and work with you to arrive at a plan that fits your property and budget.
We'll work on any revisions that need to be made, and once we've reached an agreement on a final design, we'll provide a clear and detailed proposal. If you’re ready to get started, we'll accept an initial 33% deposit, order your materials, and get you on the schedule!
We always order everything we need before we begin the project, so you're not stuck with a messy property for an extended period of time. We'll accept another 33% of the total cost when work begins.
At the final walkthrough of your property, we'll accept the final 33% of the project cost, discuss warranties, and educate you on proper maintenance of your new landscape. We may also be able to offer you landscape maintenance options to help you keep it looking great for years to come.
